Record Producer On Upcoming LED ZEPPELIN CD/DVD: 'You're In For A Massive Treat'

October 18, 2002

Veteran record producer Kevin Shirley (IRON MAIDEN, DREAM THEATER) has offered a further update on the on an upcoming LED ZEPPELIN DVD/CD package, believed to be titled "Led Zeppelin: The Ultimate Collection", and due sometime before spring 2003 through Atlantic Records.

"It is quite well known now, that there's new ZEP music forthcoming, and it's a huge privilege to be working with Jimmy Page on the ZEPPELIN stuff, and more than that I haven't said," Shirley wrote on his official web site. "I do not know the project title, or anything else that you cannot get from [www.led-zeppelin.com]… it is as up-to-date as anyone's, and even Jimmy says he does a great job!! All I can say is… get your better half to get you a DVD player and a real 5.1 system set up for Xmas, and if you're anything of a fan — you're in for a massive treat. I've always been a huge fan, but after this — I'm convinced of the geniuses involved, and believe there was never a band with such a chemistry in rock! Miles and Coltrane in Jazz maybe, Barenboim and Du Pre in classical, but in rock it must be the all four of them!"
